Global Food Security Certificate
The certificate enables individuals working in a wide range of areas within the food industry to increase their understanding of the interdisciplinary issues related to the approaching global crisis of food security. This program follows recommendations for increased education within the four pillars of food security (Availability, Access, Stability, and Utilization) to build human capital as the world surges toward a population of more than 9 billion people by the year 2050. The certificate increases students' understanding of various aspects in food security while allowing the flexibility to focus instruction in one of the four defined pillars.
