Texas Tech University.

First Steps

Congratulations, you have demonstrated an interest in pursuing the doctoral degree. The Joint Ed.D. in Agricultural Education provides an opportunity to earn your degree while you are earning a living. However, several adjustments will need to be made as you prepare for this experience.

  • Discuss the commitment with others that will be affected by this decision
  • Compare this degree with others that may be available to you
  • Identify professional and personal activities that can be deleted, delegated or delayed
  • Prepare for the GRE, including the writing portion, if you scores are five or more years old (since 2001)
  • Request you be added to the active database and ask for updated information
  • Make a commitment and complete the applications—Go For It!
