Even though school is out and summer is here, it's never too early for some fun Professional Development. Check out the two upcoming workshops and let us know how many people you are going to bring with you.

What: Project Wild Workshop

ProjectWildImageExplore and share the fascinating world of wildlife and ecosystems using fun, hands-on educational activities. This six-hour workshop will give you hands-on activities to use in a classroom, as well as a Project WILD K-12 Activity Guide.
Activities are adaptable for all grade levels, integrated with core subject curricula and aligned to the TEKS.
Anyone who works with children (teachers, home schoolers, informal educators, extension agents, after school programs, and scout leaders) are encouraged to attend!

When: July 25, 2016 (9am - 3:30pm)

Where: Texas Tech University Outdoor School/Junction, TX 76849

Cost: $25 (includes all materials for class)

Lodging: $35 (at Texas Tech University in Tech House Dorm)

Meals: On your own for lunch unless the class decides to order something as a group. If we do, we'll all pitch in our part. (Microwaves and mini-refrigerators are available for use in the dorms. Feel free to bring your own coffee pot.)

Receive: Six (6) hours of TEA-approved CPE hours

After attending the Project Wild Workshop, you are invited to stay over and attend our 2nd Professional Development Workshop!

What: Project Wild Facilitator Training

Share WILD with your peers and colleagues! Join the corps of volunteer facilitators who lead the suite of Project WILD workshops. After attending this two-day workshop, participants may be certified to facilitate Project WILD, Aquatic WILD, Science and Civics, and Growing Up WILD professional development workshops for formal and informal educators.
* Must have previously attended a Project WILD or Aquatic WILD regular educator workshop and be willing to lead one workshop per year.

When: July 26, 2016 (9:00am) - July 27, 2016 (12:00pm)

Where:Texas Tech University Outdoor School/Junction, TX 76849

Cost: Free

Lodging: $35(at Texas Tech University in the Tech House Dorm)

Meals: On your own. (Microwaves and mini-refrigerators
are available for use in the dorms. Feel free to bring your
own coffee pot.)

Receive: Twelve (12) hours of TEA-approved CPE hours
