OPA staff receives a 2015 Guns Up Award
OPA staff received a 2015 Guns Up Award, which recognizes a team of employees that
fostered cooperation with other employees to increase productivity and efficiency
in the organization, and has improved customer service and morale. Specifically, the
team was awarded for its recent efforts related to the University's SACSCOC reaffirmation.
The nominator wrote the following about OPA:
Before the comprehensive standards and federal requirements were submitted to the
SACSCOC Reaffirmation Committee, this team worked late nights, weekends, holidays,
and winter break to read, evaluate, and format each standard and requirement to ensure
accuracy and compliance.
Through the efforts of this team, they have partnered with each of the reaffirmation
teams and the university through the entire process in such a professional and collaborative
manner that they made even the most daunting tasks achievable.
The university is fortunate to have this team supporting us through the reaffirmation
process and it would be nice to be able to recognize them for their efforts.
