Student Government Association
The Texas Tech University Student Government Association represents the student body through elected leadership, the Student Senate, university committees and student-led initiatives. Every regularly enrolled Texas Tech student is a member of SGA and has opportunities to participate in student government, elections and university decision-making.
2026 Big XII Student Government Conference

Texas Tech welcomes student government leaders from across the Big 12 for four days of discussion, collaboration, networking and shared planning. Registration is $125 per delegate and closes Sept. 10.

About the Student Government Association
SGA represents students through the executive, legislative and judicial branches and provides opportunities for students to participate in university governance. SGA also administers student organization funding, appoints student representatives to university committees and works with university leadership on issues affecting the student body.
