Welcome to Fall 2015!
On behalf of the College of Media & Communication’s Division of Undergraduate Affairs, WELCOME to the Fall 2015 semester at Texas Tech University! We are very excited that you are enrolled in one of our six fantastic degree programs! I just wanted to take the opportunity to talk about our mission for this upcoming semester and introduce you to some of our advising and student success staff members.

This "Newsletter"
The CoMC Division of Undergraduate Affairs will be sending out this “newsletter” every other week to keep you informed about upcoming events and activities, advising information and resources, student organization updates, job and internship opportunities, stories about our staff members who are here to help you and a story about our awesome students!

Note from Associate Dean
As a Red Raider, I am so excited about what the future holds for you and our College. In the past year, I’ve been able to talk to a lot of students about their future. As one of those 1980s classic songs states – The Future’s So Bright I Gotta Wear Shades – our academic and extracurricular programs are ready to help you get focused on the future. New jobs are being created throughout all types of industries that our majors are well prepared for. We’ve got recent graduates who are doing amazing things:
- Kaitlyn Kravik (JOUR, 2015), In-Game Host, Globe Life Park, Texas Rangers
- Katie Penkert (EMC, 2014), Front End Web Developer at GM Financial
- Melanie Cornell (PR, 2011), Social Media, Fossil
- Josh Abbott (COMS, 2005), Texas Country Music Star
- Kate Hogan (ADV, 2014), Digital Marketing Consultant, Mary Kay, Inc.
- Benjamin Jarvis (MST, 2014), Digital Creative Producer
The Division of Undergraduate Affairs’ mission is to recruit high quality students from diverse backgrounds into one of the six academic degree programs, maximize each student’s learning potential and career development with individual educational and career development plans, training for the production of a professional portfolio and resume and provide engagement opportunities for alumni. Our division is comprised of two different centers: Center for Advising and Center for Student Success, Outreach & Engagement.
