Who is eLearning?

If any of the above questions sound familiar to you, Worldwide eLearning is here to help. Blackboard Support, Instructional Design, and Accessibility Services are all housed within Worldwide eLearning.

The Blackboard support team is available for assisting faculty with development shells, live shells, adding teaching assistants and general Blackboard issues. Leslie DeBusk is the assistant director of Blackboard support and has a team of two instructional technologists.

According to DeBusk, "We want to give the faculty at Texas Tech University the best support possible to resolve any issues they may have with courses. If we can't resolve the issue, we can direct you to someone who can assist you."

The instructional design team is manned by a staff of instructional designers to help faculty and instructors analyze, design and develop their online courses. The team is available for individual course consultations, quality course reviews and individual or departmental trainings on quality course design. A new resource provided by the instructional design team is the new Video Production Lab (link to article).

If you need help making your online course accessible for all learners, our accessibility services staff can help. The teams' services include video captioning, accessibility course reviews, assistance with making content accessible and training on all things related to accessibility.

According to Lisa Leach, "Our goal is to help faculty implement the highest quality online courses possible. This includes the appropriate use of technology, quality instruction and accessible content." Leach is the senior director of Instructional Design and Curriculum Development for eLearning.

All of the services provided by Worldwide eLearning are intended to support faculty and instructors as they strive to create the highest quality online courses and programs.
