Texas Tech University's eLearning & Academic Partnerships marketing team continues a tradition of success, earning five marketing awards from the University Professional and Continuing Education Association (UPCEA), the leading association for professional, continuing and online education. Each year, UPCEA holds their Marketing and Enrollment Management Seminar (MEMS) where members are honored with its UPCEA Marketing Awards and have the chance to attend seminars and network with one another.

Section Managers Jessica Thomas and Daniel Johnson represented Texas Tech eLearning at the 2019 UPCEA MEMS conference, which convened in New Orleans Dec. 4-6.

"During the awards ceremony, it was inspiring to see the exemplary results of the hard work given to marketing and enrollment management," said Thomas. "While the competition was fierce, the room was filled with a unified support of all entries. This was truly an honor to witness."

Johnson noted, "After meeting and seeing so many schools, it made being recognized as a top performer even more special."

Of the five awards earned this year, three are silver and two are bronze. David Hankins, senior director of marketing for the division, remarked how the team continues to develop top-notch marketing assets, even in the face of extreme departmental growth and expanding demand.

"As the eLearning & Academic Partnerships division continues to experience growth, so too does the marketing unit. Despite the ever-increasing responsibilities, this team continues to perform with excellence, producing award-winning work year after year," Hankins said. "Our goal is to not only develop eye-catching ad designs, but to also develop effective strategies toward achieving the enrollment growth goals of Texas Tech University. I am very proud of the accomplishments of each person and the part each has played this past year."

The eLearning & Academic Partnerships marketing team includes Hankins, Joshua Blount, David Chapman, Leslie Cranford, Stacy Gumula, Daniel Johnson, Jessica Thomas, Mark Tower and Frank Vaculin.
