Letter From the Superintendent

The Texas Tech campus is quieter in the summer, but TTU K-12 has no downtime. Superintendent James Taliaferro writes to the TTU K-12 community about Blackboard and the recent TTU K-12 graduation ceremony.

TTU K-12 Hosts Successful Commencement Ceremony

More than 300 students worldwide completed their high school requirements during the 2017-2018 academic year. Many of them were on campus for the annual commencement ceremony. 

Chapel Hill High School Senior Receives TACS/TTU K-12 Scholarship to Texas Tech University

Chapel Hill High School senior, Karyme Renteria, has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Texas Tech University. She is already on a path to achieve her dream to become a bilingual gastroenterologist.

Dr. Justin Louder Testifies Before Senate Committee

One of the charges of the Texas Senate Committee on Education is to search out unique and innovative ways to educate Texas students. Dr. Justin Louder, associate vice provost for Texas Tech University eLearning & Academic Partnerships, testified on behalf of TTU K-12.

TTU K-12 Teacher Earns Excellence Award

Jerry Jerabek is the principal of Friendship Middle School in Wolfforth, Texas, but he also is one of our TTU K-12 geometry teachers. In May he was recognized as one of the statewide winners of the 17th annual H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards. Congratulations from your TTU K-12 family!

TTU K-12 Allows Texas Twins to Finish Schooling in Mexico

Texas twins Daniel and Joshua Gonzales moved to Mexico at age 11 with their missionary parents and virtually no options for school. Now the young men are TTU K-12 graduates and students at Texas Tech University.
