Amy Triggs is head choir director at Ellison High School in Killeen ISD. A graduate of Ellison High School, Ms. Triggs earned her bachelor's degree in music education from Texas Tech University in 1994. She then returned to her hometown to be the associate director at Killeen High School in 1995 before moving to Richardson, TX to be the head director at Lake Highlands Junior High. After several years away from teaching, Ms. Triggs returned to Killeen again in 2009. While at Ellison, her choirs have consistently earned superior ratings at UIL Concert and Sightreading Evaluation, and she has placed numerous students in TMEA All-Region and All-State Choirs as well as UIL State Solo & Ensemble Contest.

Ms. Triggs holds affiliations with the Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Choral Directors Association, and she has served as the Vocal Division Chair for TMEA Region 8 since 2017. Ms. Triggs lives in Killeen with her very sweet husband Bryon, a retired juvenile probation officer. They have five amazing adult kids and an adorable but cranky chihuahua, Lucy.
