I was born and raised in Midland, Texas.  I met my husband while I attended TTU in 1981 but moved to the DFW after we married in 1984.  After my only child attended TTU, my husband and I returned to Lubbock in 2009 where I began work in the Admissions department until I moved to the department of SASW in 2012.  Until  2015, I managed the department singled handed which had approximately 30 people.  Today the department has approximately 90 people and continues to grow.  The three programs although different from each other, I have helped to unite the three programs nicely with each other.  My service here is to manage and keep the department afloat each year by helping all employees and students alike at Texas Tech.
