I was born and raised in Lubbock and am a second-generation Red Raider. I have received both my Bachelors and Masters in Sociology from Texas Tech University. So, even though I have only been the departmental advisor since 2019. I have been a part of the department since 2014 when I transferred in from South Plains college. I have worn many hats in this time. I have been an undergraduate student, a graduate student, a Teaching Assistant, Instructor and departmental Advisor.

Having been a student at Texas Tech myself I am very familiar with its systems and the unique experiences that being a Red Raider offers. My favorite experience during my time as a student was the opportunity to study abroad for Criminology at our TTU campus in Seville, Spain. It was a great experience. I loved my time there and still talk to my host parents.

I am married to my wonderful husband and we have two fur babies (cats). When not at work, I read books (both fun and scholarly) and watch movies. My husband and I are huge nerds and we make it a point to watch every Marvel or DC movie the weekend that it comes out.
