Justin Sanchez , Ph.D. Associate Professor - Sociology

Dr. Sanchez recently earned his Ph.D. from the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Arizona State University. His research centers on police-citizen interactions and the use of force by the police. He is especially interested in how citizens’ expectations influence their perceptions of procedural justice and officer behavior. His work also explores the impact of officer training and competency on the application of force.
