As a result of using the UCC services, I received an interview with Oceaneering International Space Systems. I practiced this interview with the Career Center and got the internship. My mock interview was extremely similar to my real interview. I felt like I was much more prepared for my career search, and I also felt much more comfortable and confident.

Students should begin their next career steps as soon as possible. Prior experience is a big part of your desirability for any job, so the more experiences you have the better. Even as a first-year student, getting a campus job relevant to your major or becoming an officer in an organization will help. An odd tip I received from the UCC was to dress up in business clothes for my phone interview. Even though the interviewers could not see me, it made me feel much more confident.
