Strong Regional Recruitment Strategy Key to Competing for Texas Students
Texas Tech Regional Centers reach out to students and parents all over the state.
Admissions
Written by Kelly Seal-Nyman
More than half of the students at Texas Tech come from farther than 300 miles away. Regional Recruitment Centers in Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio serve students in major metropolitan areas and southern and eastern regions of Texas. Click on the map to enlarge.
The competition for college-bound students in Texas is fierce, with an increasing number of both in- and out-of-state institutions establishing regional recruitment positions in most metropolitan areas. Texas Tech continues to increase its presence and market share by maintaining strong regional recruitment teams and plans for increased staff in major metropolitan areas throughout Texas.
The Lubbock/West Texas team consists of four members, with support from additional professional staff in the admissions main office. Five recruiters focus on the Dallas, Fort Worth and Wichita Falls areas. Central and south Texas regions are covered by the San Antonio and Houston teams with three members each.
In addition to Admissions representatives, the Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston offices house Alumni Association, Institutional Advancement and Red Raider Club personnel who are committed to the success of the university.
Students, parents, educators, counselors and alumni are invited to visit one of our Regional Recruitment Centers in Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston or San Antonio. These offices serve as on-the-spot contacts for all friends of the university.
Regional admissions representatives are happy to visit schools or participate in college day programs, parent meetings or community events. Contact our regional representatives whether you know someone thinking about attending Texas Tech or just want to reconnect with the university:
