GIS Training
Texas Tech GIS Training
Our Training Program at the
Center for Geospatial Technology is designed to meet the
needs of professionals and students who are interested in
learning how to use GIS as a tool for managing and analyzing
spatial data. The program meets the needs of new GIS users
by introducing them to GIS concepts and the ArcGIS software.
Our courses will also assist the seasoned GIS user who may
be transitioning to the most recent version of the software.
The Center for Geospatial Technology offers a three-day Intermediate ArcGIS training course for ArcGIS Desktop version 10.x. The Texas Tech course materials offer significant improvements over the standard Esri course materials. The Texas Tech course incorporates local Texas data to provide better context for students. The first half-day of the class offers the basics of ArcGIS so you can learn about creating and editing your own data to be more productive with GIS data in less time.
If you are a planner, resource manager, utilities manager, student, realtor - or just interested in learning about GIS and managing spatial data - this training program is for you.
Courses are taught by an ESRI Certified Desktop Associate with over 25 years’ experience.
