You are automatically applying for all of the HESS Departmental Scholarships you qualify for. Some of the scholarships have required information, so be sure to complete all questions in the application to be eligible.

IMPORTANT FOR UNDERGRADUATES:
You must have a HESS major declared to be eligible for departmental scholarships. Check your Raiderlink unofficical transcript to verify your declaration.

HESS Departmental Undergraduate Scholarships

Zella Riegal Hurffman Endowed Scholarship	Female in a HESS major Minimum GPA of 3.0 in 30 or more semester hours at Texas Tech Must exhibit strong leadership potential, especially in professional and university organizations
Margaret E. Wilson Endowed Scholarship	Incoming freshman enrolled in a HESS major SAT 1000 or ACT 20 Financial need may be a consideration Renewable for spring semester contingent upon a 3.0 GPA
Dorothy B. Hoyle Endowed Scholarship	HESS sophomore majoring in health education Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA Has documented financial need
Martin and Mavis McIntyre Endowed Scholarship	HESS junior or senior major Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
Mike Bobo Scholarship Endowment for ESS	HESS junior and senior undergraduate students Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA Financial need may be considered
George & Frieda Soutter Endowed Scholarship	HESS junior or senior (minimum of 60 semester hours at Texas Tech) Current and continued 16 semester hour enrollment Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA Financial need and academic achievement are primary considerations May be renewed
Doris Horton Memorial Scholarship	Currently accepted and in good standing in a HESS graduate program or an exceptional undergraduate senior planning to enter the graduate program in HESS at Texas Tech Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA Financial need and research interests are considered
Harmon & Dot Scales Endowed Scholarship	HESS graduate or undergraduate student Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA Demonstrated leadership qualities Financial need is considered

Doris Horton Memorial Scholarship	Currently accepted and in good standing in a HESS graduate program or an exceptional undergraduate senior planning to enter the graduate program in HESS at Texas Tech Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA Financial need and research interests are considered
Harmon & Dot Scales Endowed Scholarship	HESS graduate or undergraduate student Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA Demonstrated leadership qualities Financial need is considered
Coach James McNally Honorary Scholarship	HESS graduate student Financial need is considered
Jeannine McHaney Endowed Scholarship	Female HESS graduate student in good standing in the Sport Management graduate program
