Aerobics

AerobicsWelcome to beginning aerobics! Aerobics is a form of physical exercise that combines rhythmic aerobic exercise with stretching and strength training for the purpose of improving flexibility, muscular strength, and cardiovascular fitness. Normally, aerobics classes are accompanied by appropriate music and may be practiced in a group setting led by an instructor, although aerobics can also be done solo and without musical accompaniment. With the goal of preventing illness, improving current levels of fitness, and promoting fun exercise rituals, practitioners perform various routines that consist of a number of different dance-like exercises. Formal aerobics classes are often taught with modifications that differ in intensity and complexity; this enables attendees to select the level that matches their current fitness level. You can increase the intensity of almost any type of aerobics class by raising your arms above your head or adding hops or jumps to certain moves. Unlike anaerobic exercise, aerobic exercise is intended to utilize oxygen to prolong the exercise and thus achieve the maximum amount of calorie-burning potential.
