Softball
Welcome to softball, one of the fastest-growing games in the nation. Softball—both slow-pitch and fast-pitch—is becoming popular in America. Several nations have recognized it as a competitive and dynamic sport that men and women of varying skill and age can play. Participation in softball will make available opportunities to develop social relationships and will provide physical and psychological health benefits and enhance problem-solving skills. There is evidence that playing a game of softball will aid hand-eye coordination, increase strength and endurance, develop mobility skills, and teach the importance of teamwork. Softball is more than a game of catch; it is a game of finesse, preparation, and power. No matter the level of competition, the game of softball can be played and enjoyed as a lifetime physical activity.
