Stephanie Freeman, M.S.
About Me
I received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Georgia in 2013. Following graduation, I decided to take time off to travel, work, and volunteer for various organizations before applying to graduate school. I spent ten weeks on the coast of the Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica interning as a research assistant for a sea turtle conservation project. After returning home to Atlanta, I spent time volunteering for a wildlife rehabilitation center and working as an instructor for Zoo Atlanta's safari camp program. At the end of the summer of 2014, I accepted another internship with the Audubon Nature Institute's primate department as a zookeeper. I am very excited to turn my passion for wildlife into a career, and hope to gain acceptance to a PhD program after obtaining my master's degree. My hobbies include cooking, hanging out with my two rescue dogs, and backpacking the world (when my bank account allows it).
