Presidential Scholarship Information


All Presidential Scholarship award decisions are based on the official class rank/ percent recorded in the student information system by the Office of Admissions.


Home Schooled Students/
Students from Non-ranking High Schools


Non-ranking high school students must first meet the minimum test score for Presidential Scholarship consideration. The TTU Scholarship Office will award a Presidential Scholarship to those students with a ranking assigned by the TTU Office of Admissions within the top 25%. The TTU Office of Admissions assigns ranking based on SB 1543 of the Texas Legislature.


IB Diploma Students


IB diploma candidates must first meet the minimum test score for Presidential Scholarship consideration. For those IB diploma seeking students not ranked within the top 25% (either by rank reported on transcript or rank assigned by the TTU Office of Admissions) must submit a letter no later than April 15th to the TTU Scholarship Office from their principal stating that they are on track to receive an IB diploma in order to receive Presidential Scholarship consideration. Students must submit their IB diploma to the TTU Scholarship Office no later than July 30th to finalize their Presidential Scholarship offer.
