Earning a scholarship for next year starts as you enter your senior year in high school. To increase your chances of an academic award, please apply to Texas Tech as soon as possible.

The priority Scholarship Application deadline is December 1st. Consideration for funding from December 1- February 1st is limited.

Freshman Presidential Scholarships

Presidential Scholarships are awarded to entering first-time freshman who show exceptional academic ability through superior test scores and class ranking. Annual award amounts pay one-half toward fall and one-half toward spring terms. If you are a non-resident awarded a Presidential Scholarship, you will also qualify to pay in-state tuition. All merit awards are guaranteed for students admitted by April 15th; admission after this date is limited only by availability of these scholarships.

or 25-26 ACT** and
top 1%-25% of class
$16,000 ($4,000 per year for up to 4 years) 3.0 GPA and 15 earned
hours per semester

Students are only eligible for one Presidential Scholarship Level. If you qualify for a Presidential scholarship, you will receive an offer letter from the TTU President's Office.
