Karlo Rasporic

Biography

I was born in Rijeka, a city located in the northern part of Croatia's coast. After graduating from high school I obtained a BS and MS in petroleum engineering from the University of Zagreb, Croatia. My masters had an emphasis on energy production and supply. As such, the topic of my master thesis was based on comparing primary energy production form coal and gas power plants, and their implications. After my studies I have worked for 3 years as a reservoir engineer at the Croatian national oil company, INA plc. Since fall 2020, I am a Ph.D. student under the supervision of Dr. Danny Reible in the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. My research area of interest is coupling renewable energy sources for operating reverse osmosis units.
