Our Vision at Texas Tech
ACM at Texas Tech University is a student organization open to all students interested in the field of computing. As an educational and scientific computing society, ACM provides resources that advance computing as both a science and a profession. Following its dissolution in 2019, passionate students at Texas Tech, with the support of the Texas Tech Department of Computer Science, successfully restarted the chapter. Our vision at Tech is to foster a sense of community among individuals interested in computing, regardless of their majors. Membership is inclusive and not restricted based on factors such as race, creed, age, gender, disability, nationality, sexual orientation, economic status, veteran status, or parenthood. We strive to create an environment where everyone feels welcome and supported in their exploration and pursuit of computing.
