Welcome Tracy Clanton-Smith

By Joshua Blount, Editor

Tracy Clanton-Smith, a long-time online instructor with TTU K-12, joins eLearning & Academic Partnerships to continue supporting TTU K-12 staff and students. Tracy joins the eLearning team as an Instructional Technologist to provide training and other support for Blackboard, the learning management system used by Texas Tech.

Tracy is a TTU alumna and Lubbock native who has spent 30 plus years in education. As an instructor, she has taught middle and high school technology and instructed advanced technology courses as well. In addition to her skills working in online environments, Tracy is also skilled at addressing the particular needs of students, parents and instructors and understands how each group influences one another. In her position she will provide help desk assistance and Blackboard support, assist in course creation, help develop LMS tutorials and other Blackboard-related duties. Her work will benefit staff in the way they instruct and interact with students, as well as the way students receive feedback from instructors.

eLearning & Academic Partnerships is fortunate to have Tracy Clanton-Smith on board and looks forward to the great work she will do.
