My research objectives will focus on understanding the dynamics of the soil microbes (bacteria and fungi) in a long-term sorghum-cotton rotation. The research mainly delves into how endophytic microorganisms associated with cotton and sorghum can enhance plant resilience to abiotic stress such as drought, salinity, and temperature fluctuations.
I will be studying how these microbial communities influence nutrient cycling, plant stress tolerance, and overall soil health. Aiming to enhance crop resilience and optimize agricultural practices through a deeper understanding of soil-plant-microbe interactions.
