Gilbert Berdine

Gilbert Berdine is an associate professor of internal medicine and medical education at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) and a faculty affiliate with the Free Market Institute.

Gilbert's research interests include the application of Austrian economics to health care delivery and consumption. He has published articles in peer-reviewed scholarly journals and is a contributor to the Mises Daily Wire and the American Institute for Economic Research.

Gilbert earned his M.D. degree from Harvard University School of Medicine. Prior to joining TTUHSC in 2019, he was a faculty member at The University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio from 1983-1989 and spent 20 years in private practice.
