Charles Long

Associate Managing Director

Charles Long is the associate managing director of the Free Market Institute and an instructor of Applied Business Economics in the Jerry S. Rawls College of Business Administration.

Charles also serves The Association of Private Enterprise Education (Office of the Secretary/Treasurer, 2019-), The Mont Pelerin Society (Office of the Treasurer, 2019-), and Southern Economic Association (Office of the Secretary/Treasurer, 2017-)

Charles earned his B.B.A. in Economics from Loyola University New Orleans and his M.S. in Economic Policy from Suffolk University. Before joining Texas Tech in February 2013, he trained and worked in non-profit management and fundraising.
