Peer Mentor Program
Overview
Peer mentors serve as a helpful guide providing experience and advice about graduate
education, research, networking, time management, relationships with advisors and
faculty, and so much more.
Who are the mentors?
Our peer mentors are Graduate School Ambassadors. Graduate Ambassadors are graduate
students from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds who serve as official ambassadors
of the Texas Tech Graduate School. Graduate Ambassadors possess unique experiences
that we believe will be useful to the success of their mentees.
To join a support group:
Students interested in joining a support group can complete an online registration
form below. After completing the registration form, students will be assigned to a
mentor by Friday, February 12th. Interested students will then be invited to a virtual
meeting where they will meet their mentor and other graduate students. Mentors will
host one meeting, once per month, for the remainder of the school year. Registration
closes Friday, February 12th and support groups will be held virtually until further
notice.
