Update on Campus and Classroom WiFi Connectivity

As announced during the fall semester, IT staff worked with our vendor partners, faculty, and students to troubleshoot WiFi connectivity issues on campus, particularly in classrooms. After much research and analysis, our network engineers made configuration changes that resulted in significant improvements.

Real Estate Scams - Vacant Properties

The U.S. Secret Service has observed a sharp increase in reports of real estate fraud associated with a vacant and unencumbered properties. Criminals are posing as real property owners and, through a series of impersonations, are negotiating the sale of properties that are vacant or lien free. Criminals use similar techniques that continue to be deployed in real estate specific Business Email Compromise (BEC) schemes, including open-source research.

Survey Tool Options for Researchers, Faculty, and Staff

To assist the academic and research communities on campus, we continuously evaluate IT products and services to support institutional strategic priorities. For the last several years, the TTU IT Division has worked collaboratively with the Institutional Review Board, the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation, Colleges, and the Office of the Provost to identify suitable survey data collection tools for our campus.
