Orientation Events for Pre-Health Students

In addition to your advising welcome information, advising appointments, and getting registered, the PPHC team encourages you to check out the following opportunities to supplement your Red Raider Orientation experience:

Student Organization Fair

Being involved on campus is a big part of building a competitive and compelling applicant profile. Health professions programs are looking for students who do more than them minimum and connect with others. Student organizations can provide beneficial information, support, and relationships for all students. Whether you're interested in Greek Life, starting a new student org, or something in-between, the PPHC team strongly encourages all pre-health students to visit the Student Organization Fair at RRO sessions throughout the summer. And be sure to visit our pre-health student organizations page for specifics on on those groups!

Campus Resource Fair

Our colleagues at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) will participate in Campus Resource Fairs this summer. All pre-health students are strongly encouraged to visit with them to learn more about TTUHSC programs, to hear from the experts what their expectations are, and to begin forging a relationship with the TTUHSC from day one!

The Campus Resource Fair is the RRO home for tons of important Academic, Involvement, Health, Wellness, Safety, Culture, Financial, Family and other services, offices, and support centers across campus. Be sure to check it out!

Raider to Raider

At RRO, you'll be meeting all kinds of new people, talking in both formal and informal settings, learning all kinds of new things about Lubbock, being a Red Raider, and who knows what else! Sometimes we get so focused on advising and registration during RRO that we can forget to make that personal connection. PPHC encourages all students to attend all Raider to Raider sessions on your scheduled RRO date. These may not necessarily be pre-health specific, but they will be what you make of them and are a great way to meet other Red Raiders.
