Gurvinder Kaur, Ph.D.

Personal Information
Dr. Gurvinder Kaur received her PhD in Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in
Cell and Molecular Biology from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC)
in 2012. Shen then trained as a postdoctoral fellow in the fields of transplantation
immunology and diabetes from 2012-2016. Dr. Kaur is currently an Assistant Professor
in the Department of Medical Education and the Associate Block Director for Clinically
Oriented Anatomy and Biology of Cells and Tissues blocks in the School of Medicine at TTUHSC, Lubbock, TX. The focus of her research is to
examine the beneficial effects of tocotrienols in preventing islet amyloid formation
in diabetes. Her research has been funded by the South Plains Foundation and the LWBIWH/UMC.
