Texas Tech University

Services Available

The Texas Tech Neuroimaging Institute (TTNI) offers a wide range of services to support researchers at every stage of their neuroimaging projects.

We are committed to making advanced brain imaging accessible, efficient, and collaborative for both internal and external investigators.

MRI Scanning Services

TTNI provides access to state-of-the-art MRI scanning for researchers at Texas Tech University (TTU), the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC), and external institutions.

Scanning is available at a rate of $600 per hour, with billing calculated by the minute based on the actual scan time (i.e., time the participant is on the scanner table).

This transparent, per-minute billing model ensures cost efficiency and flexibility for projects of any scale.

IRB Proposal Assistance

We offer guidance and consultation for preparing Institutional Review Board (IRB) proposals, including:

  • Protocol development specific to MRI research
  • Assistance with consent language and safety documentation
  • Support for both TTU and TTUHSC IRB submissions

Data Analysis Support

TTNI provides both basic and customized neuroimaging data analysis services, including preprocessing, statistical modeling, and results interpretation.

  • Free of cost when TTNI personnel are included as co-authors on resulting manuscripts, posters, or presentations, or as co-investigators on grant proposals
  • Optional paid analysis support is available for researchers who prefer standalone consulting without authorship

Seed Grant Program

Researchers with a completed grant proposal that requires MRI data may be eligible for TTNI's seed grant program. This initiative offers free pilot scanning to help collect preliminary data, provided the proposal includes a future budget allocation for MRI scanning. This support is intended to strengthen funding proposals and increase competitiveness for external grants. Applicants must submit a draft of the full grant proposal and demonstrate alignment with TTNI’s research scope.
