CLASS Program

CLASS Description

Collegiate Level Autism Support Services (CLASS) is a 7-week skill and strategy development program offered during the fall semester in small groups of 5–7 students. The program focuses on building essential skills to support a successful transition from high school to college.

Students are provided with an early move-in date, allowing time to become oriented, organized, and comfortable before the semester begins. Following move-in, CLASS instructors support students in navigating the TTU campus, becoming familiar with campus resources, and settling into their residence halls.

CLASS meets twice weekly for seven weeks and also includes weekly peer support groups. CLASS sessions emphasize social development, interpersonal skills, executive functioning, and time management to strengthen organization and independence. Academic and health-related resources are also available to address individual needs and promote self-advocacy.

Application Process

CLASS is a participation charged program with limited enrollment and is open to first year students who have a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. Students must apply to Student Disability Services (SDS) prior to submitting a CLASS application. Qualifying students will be invited for an interview. Students who demonstrate a clear need and are most likely to benefit will be extended an offer to join CLASS.

If you would like to apply, complete the CLASS Application form.
