Agricultural Water Sustainability Summit

Agricultural Water Sustainability Summit

Amid growing pressure on one of the nation’s most critical resources, Texas Tech’s Davis College and the Texas Section of the American Water Works Association (TAWWA) will convene the second annual Agricultural Water Sustainability Summit from Oct. 14-15 at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center. The two-day event aims to bridge a divide between agricultural and urban water users as Texas and much of the western U.S. faces persistent drought and mounting demand. Organizers say this year’s summit will range from municipal drought planning to real time water monitoring for cattle, and climate conscious sorghum to a golf course water use panel.
