Calys Jimenez
University Life Coach
I'm a Lubbock local and Texas Tech alum with a B.S. in Education and a minor in English. I spent about 3.5 years teaching in a local high school classroom, and I've also worked as a receptionist and social media manager at a tattoo and piercing shop—definitely a fun and random chapter in my life! Throughout my career, I've always found myself working closely with students, driven by my passion for authentic conversation, building relationships, and fostering growth.
My Gallup Top 5 strengths are: Developer, Includer, Positivity, Empathy, and Learner. When I'm not working, you'll probably find me planning my next concert trip, searching for a new book (even though I have about five unfinished ones!), or convincing friends to join me for ice cream, coffee, Sonic, or pretty much anything delicious to avoid my homework (Masters coming soon!).
Coaching Style
Life can often feel crazy, messy, and confusing. At times, my own thoughts and brain can feel the same way. Thats why I approach life coaching with the intention of creating space for you to be your full, authentic self. Together, well brainstorm ideas that may break out of traditional molds and explore what truly serves you, regardless of whether it fits the norm. My coaching is about empowering you to do what feels right for you and helps you grow—your own path, your own pace.
