Early Head Start
Early Head Start is a federally funded grant program administered by Texas Tech University. This program provides high quality childcare and home visitation services free of charge to families who qualify. This program primarily serves families living and working in east Lubbock and is located away from the University campus at 3315 E. Broadway.

How do I apply?
Early Head Start accepts children from six weeks to three years of age, and all Early Head Start services are free to those who meet income and eligibility guidelines. Learn more »
The admissions process is easy:
1. Eligibility Questionnaire
Complete the Eligibility Questionnaire.
Fill out the Early Head Start Enrollment Application and gather all required documents listed in application.
A nationally accredited program
In addition to remaining in good standing with the Office of Head Start and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, this program is accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The program is one of only four accredited programs in Lubbock, and the only program exclusively serving infants and toddlers who live in poverty and for whom all services are free of charge.
