We are thrilled to announce and recognize the incredible achievement of the Texas Tech University Chapter of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) on their recent GOLD Award from the IISE!

 

This prestigious recognition is a testament to the outstanding dedication, hard work, and passion demonstrated by the entire TTU IISE chapter. Their commitment to excellence and innovation in the field of industrial and systems engineering is truly commendable.

 

We also extend a special acknowledgment to George Z. Tan, the TTU IISE faculty sponsor, whose guidance and mentorship have played a pivotal role in shaping the success of this remarkable chapter as well as a huge shout-out goes to Riley Williams, the Student President of the Texas Tech University Chapter of IISE. Riley, your exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment have been instrumental in driving the chapter towards greatness. Your dedication to fostering a vibrant community of future industrial and systems engineers is truly inspiring.

 

According to the IISE, Gold chapter status is achieved by holding at least four meetings per year, being in contact with members once per month, setup an officer succession plan for the group for the next year and graduating two college-level members to IISE Young Professional status. This GOLD Award not only reflects the collective efforts of the Texas Tech University Chapter, but it also highlights the caliber of talent and the culture of excellence that exists within the IISE community. Together, the IMSE and the TTU IISE are shaping the future of industrial and systems engineering, and these students' achievements are setting new benchmarks for others to strive for.
