Jacob is a first-year student in the Wind Science and Engineering Ph.D. program at Texas Tech University, having completed coursework and defended his thesis in Atmospheric Science in the summer of 2023. His interests lie where engineering and the environment, specifically the weather, intersect. His current research focuses on observational remote sensing of flow around wind turbines, and wind turbine operative response to atmospheric phenomena. In his spare time, Jacob enjoys staying active, being outside, wandering around new places, and playing the piano. He has also been known to frequent the candy aisle of the grocery store.
