TTU Army ROTC and TTU Nursing School
When wanting to pursue a nursing undergraduate degree, you can receive an automatic admissions to Texas Tech University Nursing School. You also may be eligible for getting 100% tuition and fees OR room and board paid for, while enrolled in Army ROTC.

Army Nursing Programs and Incentives
Active Duty Opportunities
● Accession Bonus: Qualified nurses can earn up to $30,000 for a 4-year commitment or
$20,000 for a 3-year commitment (bonuses reduced if loan repayment is taken).
Medical-Surgical Nurses are not eligible.
● Critical Wartime Skills Bonus: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) may
receive $250,000 for a 4-year service commitment.
● Loan Repayment (ADHPLRP): Repays up to $40,000 per year in student loans for up
to 3 years (taxable). Requires a minimum 2-year active-duty service.
● Graduate Program in Anesthesia Nursing (Baylor University): Earn a Doctorate of
Nursing Practice with full pay, tuition, and benefits as an active-duty officer. Requires 1
year of critical care experience.
Critical Care Nurse course for qualified medical-surgical nurses (no additional
incentives).
● AMEDD Enlisted Commissioning Program (AECP): Offers active-duty soldiers up to
$15,000/year for tuition and $1,000/year for books toward a BSN degree.

Eligibility Requirements
● Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an ACEN or CCNE accredited
school.
● Licensure: Must hold an active RN license and pass the NCLEX-RN exam.
● Citizenship: U.S. citizens eligible for Active Duty; permanent residents for Army
Reserves.
● Physical/Medical: Meet Army physical fitness and medical standards.
● Age: 21–42 (waivers possible).
● Training: Completion of the Basic Officer Leaders Course (BOLC) required.
● Leadership: Demonstrated leadership and a minimum GPA of 3.0–3.5, depending on
the program.
