Chuanqi Jia

Biography

Chuanqi Jia was born and raised in China. He received his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and Technology from Jiangsu University of Technology in 2017, followed by a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Tianjin University in 2021. After completing his master’s studies, he conducted research at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, focusing on catalyst design, synthesis, and performance evaluation for chemical reaction systems. Since January 2025, Chuanqi has been pursuing a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at Texas Tech University under the supervision of Dr. Danny Reible. His current research focuses on enhanced hydrogen generation from ultramafic rocks through chemo-bio-physical stimulation strategies, with an emphasis on reaction engineering, geochemical processes, and catalytic mechanisms. His broader research interests include subsurface hydrogen production and catalytic reaction engineering for sustainable energy applications.
