Rashedul Islam

Biography

I was born and grew up in Mymensingh, a city located in the central north part of Bangladesh. I completed my B.Sc. in Civil Engineering in 2014 and finished my M.Sc. in Civil and Environmental Engineering in 2018 from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). In 2015, after my graduation, I joined the Institute of Water and Flood Management (IWFM) of BUET as a Lecturer and later promoted to an Assistant Professor in 2018. I have started my doctoral studies in Environmental Engineering at Texas Tech University from Fall 2020 and joined Reible Research Group in September 2020. In my M.Sc. research, my main focus was surface water quality modeling. My major research area is fate and transport of contaminants.
