Biography

Brendon's academic journey began at Central Texas College, where civil engineering initially captivated his interest. However, a transformative General Chemistry course led him to switch gears and pursue Chemical Engineering instead. With associate degrees in mathematics and engineering under his belt, Brendon moved to Texas Tech University's Chemical Engineering program in the fall of 2023. Aiming for a master's degree, he eagerly sought and joined Dr. Chen's fantastic research team in January 2024. With a commitment to expand his experience and knowledge, Brendon looks forward to making meaningful contributions alongside Dr. Chen and his exceptional research team.

Research interests

  • Oil and gas industry adsorption techniques in adsorption beds, pressure/temperature swings, distillation, and other areas.
  • Adsorption and desorption mechanisms.
  • Adsorption simulation using MATLAB, Python, and ASPEN Plus.
