Biography

Pedro Mallet is a dedicated Ph.D. Candidate in Chemical Engineering at Texas Tech University, with a profound specialization in pioneering research on the thermodynamic modeling of associative systems. Having earned a Master's degree in 2023, Pedro brings a wealth of experience from five different labs across four distinct fields, culminating in the publication of two international articles. His academic journey showcases excellence in both his Master's and current Ph.D. pursuits, focusing on the project titled "Excess Enthalpy Predictions Using Association NRTL Model for Alcohol-Water-Hexane Mixtures." Driven by a passion for leveraging scientific advancements for global impact, he is committed to advancing knowledge and application within his domain. Pedro's achievements include winning First Place at the FIOCRUZ Hackathon COVID-19 in 2020 and consecutively receiving the Distinguished Graduate Student Assistantship in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Beyond his academic pursuits, he has held various roles, including Lab Coordinator, MERC Emergency Action Coordinator, and Research Assistant, showcasing his diverse skill set and commitment to safety and research excellence.
