Center for Research in Education and Advanced Technologies

The Center for Research in Education and Advanced Technologies (CREAT) at Texas Tech University’s College of Education connects research and instructional practice to advance teaching and learning. Our research focuses on emerging educational technologies, including artificial intelligence and immersive learning environments, with an emphasis on accessible, human-centered learning design. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, we generate evidence and develop tools that address educational needs and inform the effective use of technology.

CREAT also provides instructional design, online teaching and learning management system support, accessibility services, and professional learning opportunities for faculty and external partners. We collaborate with educators, schools, agencies, and other organizations to develop courses, instructional resources, and technology-supported learning experiences. These collaborations inform our research, while research findings guide the design and improvement of instructional practices.
