CIRCLE Partnerships, Initiatives, & Research
The CIRCLE Approach
At the Center for Innovative Research in Change, Leadership, and Education (CIRCLE) our energy is focused on improved and equitable educational policy, practice, and outcomes. We do this by establishing close partnerships with community stakeholders, which are focused on stakeholder-driven priorities, involve data collection and analysis leading to timely empirical analyses, and the development of evidence-based policy. These policies are geared towards actionable results, which lead to research-informed practice.
Our fundamental CIRCLE strategy is to either create or build on appropriate and sustainable educational infrastructure, contribute to the development and evaluation of meaningful knowledge and skills capacity in our stakeholder communities, and facilitate sustainability of the development, implementation, and leadership of stakeholders in the implementation of both education policy and practice.
CIRCLE Partnerships
The best way to serve education stakeholders and communities is to establish close partnerships, which focus on our partners needs and priorities and build on and complement their ongoing concerns and resources. Using this approach, CIRCLE has partnered with several educational organizations, communities, and initiatives, including:
- Professional Development Academy
- Ector County Independent School District, Texas
- Lubbock Independent School District, Texas
- Philanthropy Advocates
CIRCLE Initiatives
Activities and initiatives of the CIRCLE all contribute to the fulfillment of our mission to provide empirical research, training, and evaluation in collaboration with community partners, using interdisciplinary approaches, on issues that influence educational experiences and outcomes of students, leadership, and policy throughout the PK-20 system. Towards these goals, CIRCLE is involved in the following:
- Educational Leadership Fellows Program
- Opportunity Culture Program Evaluation
- Dual Credit Program Evaluation
- Pathways to College and Career (Texas HB5 Assessment)
CIRCLE Research
Research at the CIRCLE includes several outcomes including funded initiatives, empirical research, and the dissemination of both scholarly and professional reports. Some recent research outcomes include:
- NSF Louis Stokes Alliances of Minority Participation program
