Accessibility Basics

Accessibility exists on a scale. A document can be completely accessible or not accessible at all or anywhere in between. Each effort made, each new skill learned improves the accessibility of your content. Making an entire course accessible, or even an entire document, can feel overwhelming. Below is a list of the most fundamental accessibility skills. Taking 15 minutes to learn one of these skills will improve the accessibility of your content substantially.

Start with the type of content you use the most.

Once you have learned all of these skills, consider attending one of our accessibility training opportunities or moving on to learning more accessibility skills on this website.
