In the News: TTU K-12 Earns Media Coverage for No. 4 National Ranking

Justin Louder, Ed.D., associate vice provost for Texas Tech University eLearning & Academic Partnerships, appeared on KCBD-TV’s Noon Notebook to discuss TTU K-12’s recent No. 4 national ranking by Best College Reviews. He also answered questions and provided information about the TTU K-12 program and its benefits. The ranking news also appeared in the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.

TTU K-12 High School Hosts Commencement Ceremony

Texas Tech University High School, part of TTU K-12, will host its annual commencement ceremony at 1 p.m. June 2 at the McKenzie-Merket Alumni Center on the campus of Texas Tech University. This year’s commencement speaker will be Justin R. Louder, Ed.D., associate vice provost for Texas Tech University eLearning & Academic Partnerships.

TTU K-12 Student-Entrepreneur Finds the Freedom to Manage His Nonprofit

Ryan Almusawi, a TTU K-12 senior, started a nonprofit in the sixth grade. He found it challenging to balance high school with running his charitable organization. TTU K-12 courses gave him the freedom to take extra courses to really stand out for college admissions.

The Forging Futures Coalition hosted a charity golf tournament to help raise funds for student scholarships and the Fredericksburg community. The three-part event included special guests Texas Tech University President Lawrence Schovanec and Texas Tech University System Chancellor Robert Duncan.

Texas Tech University at Junction Assists Neighbors with Birding Festival

A capacity crowd attended South Llano River State Park’s First Annual Birding Festival. Birders from all across Texas and as far away as West Virginia and Oregon participated in guided bird walks and photography sessions around the 2,600-acre park.
