Kirti Bardhan, Ph.D.
Kirti Bardhan works as a research associate (visiting scholar). He holds the position of Assistant Professor at Navsari Agricultural University, India, since June 2010, where he has taught various courses in crop/plant physiology to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. He obtained his doctorate in rice root architecture and evaluated genotypic responses to potassium-induced root plasticity in relation to drought tolerance. Additionally, his postgraduate students have conducted studies on rice root architecture and anatomical traits. His research interests primarily lie in root biology and abiotic stress physiology.
His current research focuses on cotton root biology and its implications for carbon sequestration and abiotic stress tolerance. This research aims to contribute to the development of climate-smart cotton.
