The Department of Landscape Architecture planned an exciting opportunity to leave the classroom and experience notable works of landscape architecture. Students took advantage of the opportunity to travel to Oklahoma City and Tulsa for an inside look at works of landscape architecture within each area including Jeff Speck's Walkability Plan, new street car public transit system, Bricktown, the OKC Memorial Museum, and the MVVA designed Gathering Place Park.

Trip Goals:

1) On-site experience of newly implemented planning policy and design for walkability, public transportation (street car system), and ongoing urban redevelopment-Brickyard and downtown.

2) On-site experience of the MVVA designed Gathering Place- Tulsa's Riverfront Park- America's Best New Attraction 2019.
